Temple Beth Israel acknowledges that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the First Peoples of Australia. The Bunurong people of the Kulin nation are the traditional owners of the land on which our synagogue is located, for which they have never ceded sovereignty. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
