The Temple Beth Israel community takes seriously the Jewish mandate to repair the world (Tikkun Olam). We do so by working for social justice, building interfaith harmony, protecting the environment and caring for the welfare of all the creatures with whom we share our world.
- JECO - TBI is a proud member of the Jewish Ecological Coalition - a not-for-profit organization, founded in Melbourne in 2003 that seeks to raise awareness about environmental issues, to actively promote ecological sustainability, and to emphasise and deepen Jewish commitment to the environment.
