Limmud on Sunday - The Adventures (and MisAdventures) of the Australian Progressive Movement
Presented by Rabbi Dr John Levi. Adult Learning for members and friends, Donation $10 ($5 Members/ Concession). 2010 marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Progressive Judaism in Australia and the founding institution is our own TBI. Who better to trace the history of these 80 years of Progressive Judaism Downunder than Rabbi John Levi, historian extraordinaire of the Jewish community in this country! There are bound to be lots of surprises and much humour as Rabbi Levi takes us on a tour of the adventures and mis-adventures of our forebears as they set out to create space for a new, open and diverse kind of Judaism in Melbourne.
